What Our Volunteers Do…

Warm Welcome
Our Warm Welcome drop-in sessions on Wednesday & Saturday Mornings offer an open invitation to anyone to drop-in.
Can you be a friendly face to say hello and help people feel welcome by making them a cup of tea or coffee and letting them know what else is on offer at the Heart?

Lunch Club
We provide a free, hot lunch in partnership with Cyrenians:
Mon: 12:30pm-1:30pm
Sat: 12noon-1:30pm
Joining the volunteer team that plates and serves the food is a great way to get involved with the Heart and will help us deliver this vital community resource.

Heritage Tours
From the skeleton found in the playground to the ghosts in our attic, our building is full of history!
If the past is your passion, why not become one of our volunteer tour-guides and join a team of people who enjoy passing on local knowledge to our visitors.
Training is provided (costumes not required!)

Gardening
Our Community Garden always appreciates new faces and helping hands!
Our volunteers grow fruit & veg to support the Lunch Club, and maintain the planters and beds which grace the playground.
After most sessions there's a chance to chat over a cuppa, probably brewed from the herbs in our garden!

Admin Support
There are plenty of ways to get involved "behind the scenes" at the Heart, either on a regular basis with specific tasks or by helping us to organise and deliver our programme of open Community Events throughout the year.
