A Spectacular Start to 2025: Triple Bill at Leith Folk Club!

Tuesday, 21 January 2025

Leith Folk Club is kicking off the new year in style with a triple bill featuring three top class international acts on Tuesday, 21 January. This promises to be a night of superb live music, showcasing exceptional talent and captivating performances, right here in the middle of our community.

🎸 Alec Stone Sweet
Renowned for his mastery of the Clawhammer guitar technique, Alec Stone Sweet blends Appalachian and Celtic traditions into a timeless and innovative sound. Acoustic Guitar magazine has described his work as “entrancing” and “compulsory listening for guitar fans.” Alec’s rich, rhythmic playing and evocative storytelling have made him a standout performer, and his return to Leith Folk Club is not to be missed!

🎤 Seren Spain
Seren Spain, a second-generation Irish Australian musician, began her journey after inheriting her great-grandfather's fiddle. Her music is steeped in her rich heritage and shaped by years of studying under renowned tutors and performing at festivals. A multi-instrumentalist, Seren weaves piano, guitar, and her evocative voice into a tapestry of sounds that bring her vivid storytelling to life. With her debut EP on the horizon and fresh from Ireland’s Your Roots Are Showing folk conference, Seren is excited to bring her heartfelt songs to the Leith Folk Club stage.

🌏 Kris Mizzi

With an unforgettable vocal delivery and a distinctive picking style, his intimate performances are infused with beauty, honesty, and powerful storytelling. Recently returned from Nashville, where he began crafting material for an international release, Kris is poised to make his mark globally. Having showcased at Ireland’s Your Roots Are Showing conference, he’s now on his UK and Ireland tour, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to Leith Folk Club for a night of soulful, world-class folk music.
