Each year, usually towards the end of May or the beginning of June depending on the tides, Newhaven celebrates the crowning of the Gala Queen and Fisher King, a celebration for children and their families.

This fab route will take you along local cycle pathways through 3 city parks in Edinburgh (Victoria Park, King George V Park as well as Lighthouse Park.) The event is perfect for all abilities to have a go at a cracking 10K.

The route will be marked and there will be marshals on the course but the final responsibility is with the runner. The Strava map will be shared with you well in advance of the race.

The chosen charity for this event is The Heart of Newhaven Community. Their aim is for young people and older people to be better connected, less socially isolated and more actively engaged with their community, contributing towards active citizenship, increased independence, wellbeing and self-confidence. A minimum £1 donation will be added to your entry, you will have the option to increase this.

This is a Scottish Athletics Licenced event, which allows a £2 discount for members
